Process Measurement & Control systems for the Pulp and
Paper Industry, and is a certified software consultant to ABB
/ AccuRay for the for the configuration of Nexus & 1190
systems, with 18 years experience of the programming the
AccuRay Nexus & AccuRay 1190 software.
Latest work:
1. DIU data transfer communication link to Voith.
2. Profibus communication to Siemens S7.
3. Upgrade adding a Frame & Sensors to the system.
Listed is a summary of the expertise with the AccuRay Nexus &
AccuRay 1190 software.
- Configured and upgraded over 100 systems,
ranging from small to very large systems with up to
7 frames, 50 sensors, 9 cross-machine controls and
multiple measurement nodes.
- Configuring and testing the following communication links.
DIU, FTP, Modbus, OPC, Profibus, Profile Transmission
and Siemens 3964(R) protocols.
- Non standard machine direction control implementation.
- Special cross direction control interfaces, including the
ABB Single Window where both ABB or Metso / Voith
can perform control.
- Transmission of process data to Mill computers.
- Hardcopy and Video Report customisation.
- Converted the 1180 Coater Software for the 1190.
- Redesigned the Profile History display for 1190 use.
- Created the Difference Profile display.
- AccuRay Object Servers installed to provide OPC access.
